Quick answers

Common questions.

Who is Russell Mann?

Russell Mann is a small business owner who has worked in Idaho for decades. He grew up in North Idaho, lives in Post Falls in Kootenai County, and is a community volunteer.

What does Russell Mann stand for?

Four commitments: principle over party, transparency, honesty and education. In practice that means affordability, open and accountable government, local control of property taxes, secure elections, school choice and properly funded schools.

What is Russell's position on affordability?

Russell wants Idaho to be a place you can afford to live, and that covers all the costs, not just housing. He believes you should be able to do what you want with your property with a minimum of interference, that permits should be simple and fast, and that property taxes should not push people out of homes they own.

Why does Russell want to update Idaho's Sunshine laws?

Idaho has already taken many good steps toward transparency. Russell says special interest groups hide who they are paying, and who is paying them, by using Wyoming corporations. He wants voters to be able to see who is really behind the money.

What is the taxpayer-fraud whistleblower bounty?

Russell proposes a government-paid bounty for whistleblowers whose proof of fraud against taxpayers leads to a successful prosecution, at any level of government.

Why keep property taxes local?

Every property tax decision you pay for is made by someone you can vote on. When the state funds local services instead, someone from Owyhee or Ketchum decides what happens to your water, roads, schools and EMS.

Where does Russell stand on schools?

Russell is for school choice, and for schools that are properly funded so they do not have to run a local levy every two years. The bottom line is student success.

Does Russell think Idaho's elections are secure?

Yes. Russell says Idaho elections are secure and excellent. About 80% of Idahoans agree: 79.8% said they are very or somewhat confident in the accuracy of Idaho elections in a 2025 Boise State University survey.
